Meet Danelle Little, Administrative Assistant

 

Chicago born and raised Danelle Little, the FastServers.Net Chicago Headquarters office manager, keeps the company's multiple office locations connected, phone calls routed, mail sorted, and just about every other office duty imaginable. She's been with the company since July of 2005 and has seen the Chicago office staff double in just under two years. Danelle told how much she enjoys her job at FastServers.Net. One of the most exciting perks of the job is the free lunch the team gets every Wednesday. Yes, it's on the company's dime (and time) too. "Not many companies provide free lunches, especially those in the hosting industry," said Danelle. "I totally think it's motivating and rewarding for the company to provide us with free lunches. I really appreciate the fact that they care about their employees enough to feed us on a regular basis." Do free lunches make the team happy? You bet it does.

It's not just the free lunches that get Danelle revved up for the week. Could it be the numerous parties the company throws at Level Chicago, or maybe the company outings at The Rooftop Cubs Games? One thing's for sure, these kinds of rewards go a long way with employees. It helps them feel appreciated and the entire team is equally ecstatic about everything they get to do as employees. And as with most FastServers.Net employees, Danelle appreciates the work environment with the friendly faces and unique personalities of the team. "The tremendous about of passion behind each individual's motivations and personal goals is so rewarding to me," said Danelle.

When Danelle's not partying with the team at Level or grabbing a hot dog at the game, she's most likely watching some of her favorite movies such as "Man On Fire," "Dream Girls," "Pursuit of Happiness," and "Fun with Dick and Jane." She has dozens of favorite movies on her list, but way too many for us to write in a paragraph or two or three. We tried to get her to tell us her favorite actors and actresses, but she insisted that it is the movie in its entirety that makes it complete, not just an actor and actress. You know, the plot, the action, the comedy, the dialogue, etc. All the things that make up a good movie. So, if you like any of Danelle's favorite movies we mentioned, talk to her about one of them sometime - she'd like that!

If Danelle's not being entertained by her favorite movies, she's probably sitting in front of the television watching her favorite show - Girlfriends. Danelle can relate to the show's four women and their unique personalities. "They are all best friends and I can relate to them," said Danelle. "It's like they experience on the show what I experience with my closest girlfriends." Hey, we all have our favorite television shows so you too may understand Danelle's point of view. Think about how you relate to your favorite television shows next time you're in front of the tube. No, this does not apply to the server techs - keep those servers running!

Not wanting to spend all her time in front of a movie or television screen, Danelle enjoys dancing and drinking Long Islands. She says there's nothing like taking down a couple of Long Islands and then showing off some of her favorite dance moves. What are some of her favorite dance moves? "I don't really have any favorites, I just dance to dance," said Danelle. "I just do whatever comes to mind. If the music's right and the sound is good, I just get up and start dancing. It's all about the sound of the music. You know when it's right, you just get up and dance!" We know what you're thinking and the answer is "No." We do not have video of Danelle dancing after drinking a couple of Long Islands.
