Meet Monimini "Mo" Kabre, Sales Engineer

Monmini Kabre, we call him "Mo," is a Sales Engineer at FastServers.Net. There is something extraordinarily unique about Mo. He reads, speaks and writes five languages! Most of his studies growing up were in French as he was a native of Ivory Coast, which is a country just off the southern coast of West Africa. "Since Ivory Coast was colonized by the French, I grew up speaking and writing everything in the French language," said Mo. He also spent four years studying German and lived in Hamburg, Germany for a while. Mo is fluent in reading, speaking and writing English (we know first hand!). Other languages he can speak and write include Gouro, Mossi, and Shwahili! Okay, we'll go ahead and break it down for you:

· French - Read, speak, and write 100%.
· German - Not fluent in speaking, but can read and write well.
· English - Read, speak, and write 100%.
· Gouro - Language spoken in the western coast of Africa. Read, speak, and write 100%.
· Mossi - Language of Burkina Faso.
· Shwahili - Language of the Congo.

Are you impressed yet? Most people can't even read, speak and write in one language, much less five! If you ever meet Mo in person, you will see that he has a dynamic personality. He fits in well with the FastServers.Net Sales Team and is a great addition to the company as a whole, especially since he can communicate in five languages. As fascinating as this is - Mo knowing five languages - we had to ask him if he ever uses a language other than English to communicate with our customers. "I have used French more than anything as we have several Canadian customers that speak French fluently. I have also talked to a native of France who prefers to speak French," said Mo. He tells us they are surprised when they speak to him because they expect to get a translated version of the French language, but they end up getting real, 100% French. "They get the real thing and always leave satisfied knowing they spoke to someone who can speak French fluently," he said. Simply awesome Mo, we love it.

Mo is a big time soccer fan. He played competitive soccer in the NAIA Division for two consecutive years. His passion is deeply rooted in the game. So much that he occasionally plays with the Chicago Soccer Pickup team. We asked him what position he plays. He gladly responded with, "I am by nature a striker because of my quickness, but a good soccer player can play all positions." Mo said that his coaches seem to think he should play defense. Regardless of what position Mo plays in soccer, his passion of the game can best be described as "it is the best sport simply because that is the only game I grew up playing and it is a universal sport, especially when compared to American football and basketball," he said.

Next we asked Mo to tell us his favorite soccer player. He responded, "My favorite player right now is Didier Drogba of Chelsea FC playing in England and he's from my home country, Ivory Coast." When Mo's not playing soccer, you can find him watching a European Soccer League game or cheering for the Chicago Fire. If he allows you to interrupt a game, he can tell you about his experience as a soccer recruit at William Jewell College in Kansas City. He also took classes at Blue River Community College and studied romance languages at the University of Missouri - Kansas City. "After five years of college and nothing to show for all that time in the classroom, except a lot of fun playing soccer, I am planning to continue my education at Devry University. I think it will better prepare me for my career in technology, especially now that I work at FastServers.Net," he said.

Like most FastServers.Net employees, Mo has all positive things to say about his experience working at the company. "I like the fact that the company has a lot of potential and a solid ambition to succeed. The company is growing fast and does a great job in keeping the quality of products and services at top-notch," said Mo. He also has a comment about the FastServers.Net team. "I think the team environment is absolutely awesome! To be a part of this company, its people, and what we are achieving is a pure thrill!" he said. Well Mo, we think it's awesome too. Everybody does a great job in keeping the company moving forward. Just ask any of the employees at FastServers.Net, or read any of the employee profiles. You can see why it's special.
